OMW is an online program for young adult members age 19–21. It helps smooth the transition from foster care or the parents’/guardians’ home to independent living. OMW teaches skills for money, housing, job training and college.

  • To apply for Medicaid, send a completed application to DHHS. Applications can be done online at iServe Nebraska. To renew your Medicaid coverage, visit ACCESSNebraska.

    You can also complete an application by phone. Or fill out and mail it to your nearest DHHS office.

  • It’s taken care of automatically. Your baby is pre-enrolled in your health plan as part of your pregnancy care. 

  • After your health plan begins you will have 90 days to change it. After that 90-day timeframe, you may only change your health plan during the Open Enrollment period.

  • No. family members can see different doctors. We call a medical professional you see a Primary Care Provider or PCP. When you see the same PCP over time, it’s easier to develop a relationship with them. Each family member can have their own PCP, or you may all choose to see the same PCP. 

  • You may be eligible for Nebraska Medicaid if you are:

    • 65 years of age or older
    • An Individual under 65 years of age who has a disability, or is visually impaired according to Social Security guidelines
    • An Individual 18 years of age or younger
    • An adult age 19-64
    • A pregnant woman
    • A parent or caretaker
    • A former foster care youth
